The purpose of this thread is to keep an open list of topics for potential guests posts. Like many of you know, there are a number of things that are great when paired with cigars. Unfortunately, or fortunately in some circumstances, we aren't €œin the know€ with many of these others past time, like we are with cigars.
Because of this, I wanted to keep an open list of topics we would like to cover, but are unable to do so on our own. Instead, we would love it if those passionate about the listed topics would be interested in potentially writing a Guest Article for Stogie Review.
We do not pay for these articles, but we would be more than happy to include a byline on your article when it is published. Upon submitting your article, you would be giving Stogie Review all rights to the article and any photos / audio / video that go along with it.We strive for original content on Stogie Review, so please only submit original work. We are not interested in re-publishing anything that you may have written for another website or forum.
If you are interested in submitting a Guest Article, please send an email to stogiereview at stogiereview dot com. Once we hear from the first interested party, we will place a submission deadline on the article. That deadline will be four-weeks from the first email we receive. After the deadline has lapsed, we will select from one of the submissions and schedule it to be published on Stogie Review.
When your article is complete, please email it, and any photos that go along with it, to stogiereview at stogiereview dot com. Entering your submission into the body of the email is fine, you may also send it as an attachment as well. When writing your article, please refrain from using tables to organize your work.
In the event that you would like to submit a guest article that is not listed below, please feel free to submit it anyway. We accept all forms of guest articles and have simply outlined the ones that have come to mind below.
With that said, please take a moment to look over the topics
we would like to see guest articles on.
Pairing Bourbon and Cigars
Being as none of the members of Stogie Review are into Bourbon nearly as much as we are cigars, we would like to get a Guest Article on pairing cigars and bourbon. Besides some information on the makeup of Bourbon, we would also like to see some discussion on how one might go about selecting a cigar to go along with different types of bourbon (Single Barrel, Blends, etc...)
To go along with the article, we would like you to provide a few photos of different types of bourbon. Due to the size restraints of the Stogie Review website, photos can be no larger than 600 pixels wide. Please refrain from watermarking or branding your photos. Credit will be given for your writing and photos at the foot of the post.
For an example of what we are looking for, please take a moment to read over an article written for us by Dale Roush on pairing Scotch and Cigars (http://is.gd/5FEWl), Please keep in mind, the example provided is only meant to be used as a guide. You may format and break down your guest article as needed.
Pairing Wine and Cigars
Being that none of the members of Stogie Review are heavily into Wine, we would like to see a Guest Article on pairing wine and cigars. Included in this article, we would like you to break down the most common types of wine and discuss how you would go about pairing a cigar with the flavor profile that is typical among that wine.
The most important thing about this article is that it must be friendly to those new to wine. When discussing cigars, assume that your audience consists of "intermediate" smokers which are comfortable with terminology and selecting cigars under normal circumstances.

Pairing Beer and Cigars
While all of the members of Stogie Review enjoy a good beer, none of use feel as though we are in a position to write in-depth article on beer and cigars. For this article, we would like to see a breakdown of common beer types and how one would go about pairing cigars with the typical flavors of each type of beer.
For this article, we would like you to assume that your audience has a basic grasp on beer and cigars. We do not want the article to be so in-depth that intimidates readers, but at the same time, we are not looking for it to be over-simplified either. If you list examples of different types of beer, please try to use an example with a wide distribution. This is requested in case a reader wants to track down some of your example pairings.

Pairing Coffee and Cigars
Some time ago, we received a Guest Article on pairing cigars and coffee from Brian Bircher of Black Dog Coffee (http://is.gd/5FMnP). We would like to build on this article and see something a little more Do-It-Yourself. What we had in mind was something from the perspective of the home coffee roaster.
What we had in mind was outlining how one would break into home roasting coffee to pair with cigars. Perhaps certain beans should be sought out and roasted a certain way to pair up properly with a certain type of cigar?
Please provide a few photos of the process and final results. Due to the size restraints of the Stogie Review website, photos can be no larger than 600 pixels wide. Please refrain from watermarking or branding your photos. Credit will be given for your writing and photos at the foot of the post.
